We gave it a chance, but it was definitely below average. My 6 year old and 3 year old wouldn't eat the food. And while they can be picky sometimes, I couldn't blame them. I asked the staff to make some more french fries and they told me they were out. Most of the food was cold. I don't like to leave poor reviews, and I hope maybe the restaurant makes some improvements to the quality of the food. Our waitress was great - very sweet and attentive. No complaint about her. The food was very much below average. Don't waste your time stopping here, just move on to the next pin on the map.
Stopped in for a late supper and they went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure we had what we wanted.

Food is good, but what really stands out is the service from the family that runs it. The kind of place where they remember you and are glad to see when you come back. A local Madisonville staple.
