We were warned to weigh our cow before taking it here. We didnt... I shouldn't have to say more. We didn't get half the hamburger we should have, and we got some fillets that we didn't ask for. We took a cow to the Amish that was 100 lbs more on the hanging weight and got back more hamburger, PLUS steaks. If you must go here, WEIGH YOUR LIVESTOCK BEFOREHAND!!!
Don't take your stuff here as they keep back parts of the Animal to sell to others when its not theirs to sell. I have proof as we had some pigs done there and never got our racks of ribs. I called there on three separate times to get someone to help[ me with this and they never called back. The proof I have is a buddy of mine was offered a bunch of racks of ribs at a good price and he inquired of the person selling it to him as where they got them. His answer was this female individual that works for Morgans Meat Processing was keeping parts of peoples orders and selling them on the side. I wouldnt trust this company to be honest with your orders.
They didn't give me the right amount of meat.
I have used Morgan's for pig, sheep, and cow butchering for 15 years. They are a top notch operation. If you have had issues in the past, talk to the manager & butcher, Danny. He knows what he is doing and can explain how the size, age, and breed and various ways of cutting an animal can affect the cuts available. As with any business, and particularly that of custom meat processing, communication with the business is key. I recommend Morgan's to everyone.
Don't get your deer caped out here. I got my 1st buck to get mounted. It took 2 weeks to get meat back. When I got my deer head to take to get mounted. They did not freeze the head. So they ruined my dear head. It was rotting and stunk. So much for my first buck. It was a 8 pointer.
